Here's the latest info on Season Two winner Ruben Studdard's recent divorce, his IRS issues and his weight gain.......
Well he shared his personal problems with talk show host Wendy Williams. Ruben was there to promote his 5th album"Letters From Birmingham," along with the divorce to wife of three years Surata Zuri McCants. The two of the end it after three years. because they both where traveling in different directions. So they divorced due to irreconcilable differences. They never had any children together. Ruben did speak about wanting to have a large family, and more children. Apparently, she had other plans. He even said "they both where traveling in different directions."
He spoke about his friendship with Clay Aiken, saying he's a really cool guy. That spending many months with Clay, he's a funny person. Ruben even said who he thought would be a good judge on the X- Factor... Mariah Carey is a good fit.
Ruben spoke about his weight and that he knows, that he needs to take care of himself. After his brief marriage and the divorce he started ( kicking it) he loves Red Velvet Cake, its a weakness for him. He's new single "June 28th" has some significance behind the title, which happens to be the date he was married, but now he is SINGLE!!! He also shared candidly about that he owes $100,000 in back taxes, and he's working with the IRS in getting the matter resolved.
Ruben stated “I won’t be the first person on television with that problem and I won’t be the last.”
