Girl, You’ve got  POWER

I make it no secret in everything that I do that I am an advocate for women’s empowerment.  It is part of everything I do, everyday.  When coming up with the name for this column my editor Danielle and I bounced around several names similar to the Girl Power books that I already write.  I remembered something I read by a powerful woman Naima Singletary that talked about the power of women.  So when Danielle say let’s name the column
Girl, You’ve got power! I said that’s it!
Consider this my introduction column.  I like to do that when I first start to write for a magazine.  This is the column where you get to know me and you come to know what to expect from me in the months to come. My mantra, mission statement, purpose, or whatever you want to call it, is Empowering women to POWER their world.

I am a life coach and each month my columns are similar to you having a sit down session with me.  I expect when you walk away that you will not only reflect on the things I have written, but that you will work to make yourself better a little each day. The thing I want you to know most is that there is no substitution for loving yourself.  There is no one who will love you more than you can possibly love you.  For whoever you are, and whatever you do, you were made with a purpose.  When you identify that purpose you should pursue it without compromise and without apology.  After all, what can you be best at than being YOU.  No one can be YOU, like you can.

I promise to keep it real with you each month, even to the point that some of the things I say may hurt your feelings or make you uncomfortable.  That is not my intent.  My intent is to write something so real that you walk away wanting to change whatever your current situation.  So whether it is self esteem, finances, health (mental and physical), relationships, or your career you can look here each month for support.  That is what Girl! Power is about.
And trust me when I say that GIRL, You’ve GOT POWER! And I am going to do my best to help YOU unleash it!
